Preparing your pet to be handled
Before you get your dog ready to face the world of good grooming, you have to make sure that he is ready to be handled by professionals. But how do you really prepare them for such things? Most dogs hate it when different people touch them. They do not want this because the only people that they want to touch them are those that they trust the most. This will be really hard for you.
On my case, what I did was, I took my dog to a dog massage parlor. He has to be used to professional touch. After caressing his belly and the back of his ears, I saw the way he reacted. He was indeed on his way to becoming a celebrity dog. When I finally brought him to a dog parlor, he was pretty behaved. He was like an adult human being enjoying his pamper day. Since then, he was well behaved.
