My new pup
A good friend of mine gave me a new puppy - a pincher. It was really cute, brown coat, small and generally a toy dog. I prepared his food, his bed and his sand box a day before he moved into our home.
I picked him up from my friend’s place and I drove for about 30 minutes. When we finally got home, I noticed that he was not the toy dog that I expected. He was lazy, a bummer and not playful at all. He was fine about an hour ago and now, he seems to be totally different. Why? Did I drive too fast? I called up my friend and asked if the dog was sick or was into a really bad mood when I picked him up. He said that the dog is fine and he is just adjusting to the new environment.
Of course he is. How insensitive of me. I could still remember the time when I first entered kindergarten. I was a total stranger that time. Similarly, my dog is adjusting to the place, getting to know the corners and the new people that he will most likely encounter for the rest of his life.
After 3 days, he was the toy dog that I expected him to be. Playful, and really upbeat. All the while I thought he was sick. But I guess, I was wrong!
