Dog earns degree
Zeeke, a 1 year old golden retriever will be receiving a bachelor’s degree from Ohio Northern Univeristy along with the rest of the graduate class. He is well-trained and spent thousands of hours training as a Canine Companion dog and he is a part of a senior’s honors project.
Kendall Baker, the ONU president said this is probably the first time the univeristy has ever awarded a diploma to an animal. Pulling wheelchair, opening doors and retrieving fallen objects are just a few of the things that Zeeke can accomplish.
After graduation, Zeeke will be able to get his own job. He will work as a service dog for the people who are in need for free.
